Ever notice how some finance roles sound repetitive before you’ve even read past the title? This isn’t one of those.
This opportunity sits within a fast-growing group where no two days look quite the same. With multiple revenue streams and a constantly evolving operation, you’ll be part of a finance function that’s right at the heart of the business, not tucked away in the background.
In this role, you’ll take full responsibility for a section of the sales ledger, managing accounts from start to finish. From ensuring timely payments to resolving queries and maintaining strong cash flow, you’ll play a key role in keeping the business running smoothly as it continues to expand.
What you’ll be doing day to day:
- Managing your own portfolio of customer accounts from end to end
- Proactively following up on outstanding balances via phone, email, and written communication
- Posting and allocating incoming payments, ensuring accounts are accurately reconciled
- Investigating and resolving invoice discrepancies and customer queries
- Working closely with internal teams to quickly address billing or account issues
- Reviewing credit limits and identifying potential risks
- Producing regular reports on debtor balances and aged debt
- Providing monthly updates and insights on ledger performance
- Ensuring all accounts remain accurate and aligned with agreed payment terms
What’s on offer:
- Salary up to £29,000 plus bonus
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Life assurance
- Access to employee discount schemes
- Hybrid working arrangement
What they’re looking for:
- Previous experience in a similar accounts receivable or credit management role
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with data
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- A problem-solving mindset with the ability to resolve queries independently
- Strong communication skills for working with both customers and internal teams
- A proactive, detail-focused approach
If you’re looking for a role where you can take ownership, work at pace, and be part of a growing business where finance has real influence, this could be a great next step.
